Another exceptional Antiques and Collectables auction last night with a full house and over 92% auction rate for the night. A wide variety of items on offer proved popular with the buyers including jewellery, art and collectables. There was some keen bidding on the ladies 18ct Palladium ring set with emerald cut high grade blue sapphire knocked down for $683.
Some of the highlights were, c1880 Royal Worcester China Japonesque Ewer – white ground with impressed fan like decoration, gilt and coloured Oriental motifs and a sinuous dragon handle in bronze tone with gilt detailing for $521, Framed Ivars Jansons (1939 – 2017) Watercolour – Tranquil Shores – Norfolk Island – Signed for $496, heavy vintage cast iron Coalbrookdale style hall stand – original inset drip tray, small marble shelf & mirror to middle for $422, 14ct rose gold ladies ring set with large round purple sapphire – TW 6. 52 grms for $496, 2 x vintage honour boards – A.O.F. – Northcote No.4843 and Dandenong No.3785 Honour Rolls from first and second World Wars with hand painted details for $372, 1930s Australian Allen’s colourful Irish Moss Gum Jubes Tin – made by Salute & co. Melbourne for $298.
